2- Open a Bitcoin Wallet
Open your first Bitcoin Wallet. This is like opening a bank account but you own the bank. There are lots of different Bitcoin wallets out there. My favourite is Trust Wallet https://trustwallet.com/ (runs on iOS and Android. it’s free) It can hold many different Cryptocurrencies.
My second favourite is https://www.blockchain.com/wallet
Read and understand how your wallet works.
Make sure you save a backup of your wallet’s recovery phrase - Bitwarden is a good place to save it but also having a second paper version copy is a good idea.
This is your personal bank. You manage your own security. You are the only one that has access to it. This APP won't be able to help you if you lose your login details.
If you lose the login details the account is lost forever. Never share your private key with anyone.
If you find this too advanced, skip this spet for not. I’ll be able to come back later on when you are more familiar with blockchain tech.
On both Wallets, you can store lots of different cryptocurrencies. You can also buy cryptos on these wallets but I prefer to use other apps/websites for that. See the next section (3 - Buy Bitcoin).

Hardware Wallet - this is for advanced users. Come back to this section when you get more “advanced” :D
A hardware wallet makes sense only if you have large investments as they are not free.
Ledger Nano - https://www.ledger.com/
Titanium Plate wallet - https://cryptotag.io/ (this is to back up the ledger nano wallet)
